Steppin' on up...

Ba Ba and Da got me my very own step stool for Christmas! I am having so much fun with it--I go into the bathroom all the time to stand on it--and the best part is that I can reach the light switch and turn it on and off....over and over again. I hope Mommy and Daddy don't put a lock on the bathroom door--I overheard them talking about that after Mommy had to come get me for the 18th time today-yikes!. Anyways, here I am using it to brush my teeth. Thanks Ba Ba and Da! Idudoo (I love you)!!

Christmas in Lexington

What a fun Christmas! This was our year to spend it with my family in Lexington, and we did get to do an early Christmas with Mark's parents right before we left, which was great. William had a great time and was such a trooper with naps....with so many places to go and people to see it's hard to keep on schedule. We had lots of yummy food, opened fun gifts from one another, and saw Marley & Me (whew!! could I have balled any harder??!). The only bummer was that I got the tummy bug and was down for the count for 2 whole days---so sad! My sister, oldest niece, and Dad also had a touch of it, so something was definitely going around. Thankfully Mark and William managed to dodge it! But despite the bug, we had a wonderful time. Just didn't get many pictures. Here are a few that I did snap before I got sick!
Stacking the blocks from Aunt Anna Kay and Uncle Patrick
Not so sure about this talking, praying bear!
Christmas Eve service at Centenary
In the (very old!) rocking chair at Ba Ba and Da's house
Playing with the shape sorter from Santa!
And the favorite gift....golf clubs!

Bathtime is a Splash!

Bath time means FUN time for William. He loves the bath! He usually is pretty good about sitting still and playing, but recently he's turned into a monkey and stands up and rolls around and turns on the water and then lets it all out....whew! And then as soon as I say that we're all done and start cleaning up the toys he starts splashing like a wild man! I have to stand there and pull the curtain closed to keep the water somewhat in the tub or the floor would be a pool.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

William loves to stand in front of the tree for me to take his picture--it's really pretty funny.
A quick pic before church
Another pose by the tree! What am I going to do with this crazy hair?? I keep giving him haircuts, but it doesn't do any good! ha!

Playing with Dooley

William and Dooley are the best of buddies. They are really just starting to play with each other and it's so cute. They chase each other around while William screams with laughter. He loves to watch Dooley try to chase his beach ball and also when he chases his tail. That is just the funniest thing ever to him! I love how my friend, Courtney, refers to their dog as their son's "doggie brother". So here are some pics of William and his "doggie brother", Dooley!

Kisses for Dooley...head-butting Dooley (such love!)...

And laying down like Dooley... :)

Santa Claus is Comin' to Town...

Well, yesterday started out great. We met Lily and Larissa at Davis Kidd for storytime with Debi Derryberry--she was so much fun and highly entertaining! William was really intrigued by her and her silly songs and sat still for almost the whole thing. So then we headed upstairs to see "Tanta" Claus and that didn't go so well. We started out excited, waving at "Tanta" and smiling at "Tanta", and saying hi to "Tanta"....but when it came time to sit on "Tanta's" lap we quickly became terrified and started screaming and clinging to mama. There was no way he would even be contained by "Tanta" because the arms and legs were flailing everywhere! So William sat on MY lap and I sat beside "Tanta" for the picture. There were no smiles, but he did sit still long enough for the picture....I hate that I didn't get a one with my camera to show you, but his face is so funny. He is looking like, "I don't like this, I do NOT like this....". I'm tempted to try again, but we'll see. Maybe I should dress up and prepare him first! haha
Posing in front of the tree before we go

Running towards me to "catch" him. He loves to play this game!
I love this picture! Reminds me of the picture of Mark and I running through the rose petals after our wedding! Funny
Waiting in line with Lily
Look! There's "Tanta"! (Little did we know, this excitement would not last!)
