38 Weeks

We are on the final countdown now....I feel like this baby could come at any moment! He has got to be out of room by now, but I feel his kicks constantly these days.  He likes to poke one foot right into my side.  :)   I don't know that I feel totally ready, but are you every really ready??  We thank the Lord in advance for His perfect plan and perfect timing for this little boy to enter our lives.  I cannot wait to see his sweet face and hold him in my arms!  

William and Papa

This weekend Mark's parents (aka Mimi and Papa) came to visit and help us get ready for baby boy's arrival and house stuff.  It was SO great to have their help!  I wish I had taken more pictures, but here are just a few from Pancake Pantry.  William sure does love his Papa...  oh, and he is wearing his daddy's Lacoste shirt that he wore in kindergarten!

We are already seeing William's organizational skills coming to life. He loves to lay things out in line and stack things up just right.  He's also learned how to count to 10 so laying things out and counting them has become a new fun activity.   Now if I could just get him to help me organize this house!

37 weeks

Well, we are on the final countdown till baby boy #2 joins our family!  This is a terrible picture, but I have done a terrible job of documenting this pregnancy. Even here at the end, I still find myself in awe of what a miracle pregnancy is.  Knowing that there is a little life inside my belly and feeling him move around and seeing my belly jump when he has the hiccups is just amazing!  I have been so thankful for such a wonderful pregnancy (although now is not so easy~little one is resting on my sciatic nerve and has made me quite crippled.  I can hardly walk and the pain is horrible) and we are so excited for him to arrive!  We are praying for a safe and healthy delivery and for God's perfect timing with our house being finished just in time....  thank you in advance for your prayers as well!!

Summer Treat

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!  We had such a fun holiday, starting out with the big Whitland neighborhood celebration across the road from us.  It was something else~complete with an orchastra playing patriotic music, the mayor, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, a parade of kids on decorated bikes, and tons of food.  That evening we went our friends, the Goldthorpes, to downtown Franklin.  The kids had a ball listening to the music, running around, splashing in the puddles, and eating pizza.  We didn't get to see many fireworks this year, just a few from the car on the way home, but it was a great time anyways! Water Boy

William has discovered a new, fun toy~ the hose.  This is great for me, because he can water all of my flowers (once I get some planted!).  He played in the yard, watering everything in sight, for about 45 minutes and cried when I made him come inside.  I have a feeling we'll be doing this a lot this summer!
