Happy First Day of Fall!

Today is kind of like a holiday~it's the first day of FALL, my most favorite time of year!  In an effort to savor the moment (in many areas of my life right now), I was inspired by a friend to make a list of all the things I love about the here and now~so I'm making a list about what I love about Fall.  Just thinking of these things brings a smile to my face and makes me so excited!  Feel free to add to the list in the comment section~there are so many things I could think of and I'd love to hear what you love, too!

*  Filling the house with the scent of a pumpkin candle~all the time!

*  Making and enjoying my Harvest Pumpkin Cake with caramel icing...YUM YUM

*  Crisp, cool days with bight blue skies and  nights chilly enough for just a jacket

* Red, yellow, orange, & brown leaves of all shapes and sizes

* Hearing the crunch of the leaves while going for long walks

*  Watching football or just having it on in the background while I do things around the house
GO DAWGS!

*  Breaking out the jeans and scarves and jackets and tall boots

*  Pumpkins & mums for my porch!

*  Hayrides and trips to the pumpkin patch

*   Chili with fritos and tomato basil soup with grilled cheese (Food & Co, and Bread & Co's are the best!!)

*  Mark's birthday~10/10!

* Going to Keeneland race track in Lexington~SO fun

* Trick or treaters and our annual Halloween party

*  Seeing God's beauty and faithfulness in the changing of the season...
Psalm 119:90 (Contemporary English Version)

90You remain faithful in every generation, and the earth you created will keep standing firm.

First Day of School

Today was very exciting....it was William's first day of Mother's Day Out!  I think he is very ready to get out of this house and have his routine back!  He loves school and his friends and has 2 wonderful teachers this year.  Ms. Donna has been there for 17 years and is an opera singer.  She said that he sat in her lap in the rocking chair all of nap time and she sang to him.  I have a feeling that will become his permanent "napping" spot.  :)  And Ms. Alex is very sweet and seems like a lot of fun.  I'm so thankful that William can go to such a sweet, loving, nurturing school!

The BOB and First Smiles

Our new double stroller, BOB!  We will be spending lots of time in this...
Snuggling with my sweet boy
4 weeks and already smiling!
He lights up whenever he hears me coo and sweet talk with him.  I love it!

Are You Curious...?

...George is!  And so is William!  William loves Curious George.  They are best buddies.  Let's just hope he learns from George's mistakes and doesn't get into to much mischief himself.  :)

Notice how the ensemble is complete with a Curious George band-aid :)

Labor Day

Papa with his two grandsons
Bathtime with cousin Ella Reyn
Check out the sweaty head and the dirty feet~this is what I'm talking about when I say wearing him out!  I think this was after hitting golf balls in the yard.
Ahh, this is better.  Nice and clean.
