Lasagna Night

...Need I say more???

Jon Jon is done done!

Last month I took a sewing class with several friends and made William a sweet little courderoy jon jon. And little, it is! After all the blood, sweat, and tears that went into it (okay, I'm being a little dramatic. No blood, but some sweat and a few tears), it fits him, but is a little on the short side. Oh well, it is still cute on him! I have always loved children's clothes and appreciated all the work that goes into making them, but now I REALLY appreciate it. Even though it's hard to pay $75 for an outfit (and I hardly ever do thanks to ebay!), I understand every penny that it's worth!

Hopefully I'll be able to continue to improve on my sewing skills and make William some more outfits. Until then, you'll probably see him wearing this one a lot. :)

Arrington Vineyards

Friday night Mel, Presh, Anne, and I went to Arrington Vineyards--what an amazing place! It was founded by Kix Brooks (of Brooks & Dunn) a few years ago, but it seems like it is just now really catching on, at least amongst people I know. :) It's only about 25 minutes south of Nashville, but you feel like you are in Napa! And the best part, aside from the gorgeous vineyards surrounding you, beautiful lodge with a big screened in porch, cozy fireplace, bonfires, live music, and delicious wine tasting...it's all FREE! You can bring your dinner, small or lavish, board games or cards, or whatever you like, buy a bottle of your favorite wine from the free wine tasting, and you are set! It's a place I will definitely be visiting again, soon I hope!
I wish I had taken more pictures, but it was so dark. I recommend getting there early in time for the sunset!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

William's favorite book these days is Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle (one of my favs, too!). I am so proud of him because tonight he showed me how he can point out every single animal on the last page! Such a smart boy... :)

Photo Shoot

A few months ago we had a fantastic photographer, Kimberlee West, take some pictures for us (it was a free photo shoot--whoo hoo!!). She did an amazing job...here are a few!

Afternoon at the Park

Today we met Lily and her mom at Elmington Park down the road from our house. They had a great time playing together--William especially loved the slides.Weee! Here comes Lily!

Family Outing to Radnor

Saturday was such a beautiful day so Mark, William, and I went for a walk at Radnor Lake. Radnor is a special spot for us because that's where we got engaged! So each time we go back is really fun. This was also William's first time in the backpack, which he loved!

Halloween Fun

What a fun Halloween! William was a lion (with the costume arriving from ebay just in the nick of time--1:00 on Halloween afternoon--whew!!) and even had a real lion wound (aka: a busted lip with teeth marks where he bit down into his lip) to add to the authenticity of the costume. :) We had our 3rd annual Halloween Chili get together at our house and had a house full of friends. All the kids were so cute! Maybe next year all the adults will have to dress up, too!Rrrrr!!!
