18 Months

It is hard for me to believe, but William just turned 18 months old! And my oh my, he is every bit of 18 months. We have entered the stage of emotional ups and downs--one minute laughing hysterically and the next minute crying. Sometimes he is Mr. Independent, wanting to do everything himself and then sometimes he won't do anything without mama holding him. He especially wants my attention when I am in the kitchen cooking or baking....so I have learned to get things done during naptime!! He is also always on the go-running everywhere! We average at least 1 busted lip per week. A few weeks ago we had 2 busted lips and a black eye all in a couple of days. Whew! But each day is so much fun and so sweet. I love chasing him around and watching him learn new things. I am constantly in awe of the gift that he is to us and thanking the Lord for this precious boy.
New words: toe, milk ("nu"??), yes, Lily, Bible, I love you ("iludu")--my favorite!
New tricks: climbing on the couch, identifying body parts (eye, ear, nose, mouth, hair, toe, leg, arm, and his favorite...belly!), walking backwards around the house trying not to bump into anything, pushing his crib away from the wall, sitting in a big boy chair (bye bye high chair!), showing his muscles, and smiling on command (which is hilarious!!).
