Whole Foods, Here I Come

as i was looking for recipes for the week, i came across this great article on organic vs conventionally grown foods. i thought it was great and very interesting...it is long, but worth the read.

over the past several years i have become more and more committed to buying and serving my family organically grown foods--and even more so now that i have a child. but it can be hard, when trying to stay on a budget--oh how i'd love to shop at whole foods for ALL of my groceries! :)

anyways, this article will show you both sides of the debate (and i honestly didn't know that there was a debate on this! for other than financial reasons, why would one not choose organic?)... but i learned a lot and continue to be compelled to eat organically when possible.

here's to doing the best we can and to healthy and delicious eating!

Interesting article. I asked Bethany's dairy farmer "friend" about organic milk. Non-organic dairy farmers are prohibited from using the hormones that everyone is so concerned about, and he said that he has visited numerous organic dairy farms that are dirty because of the restrictions on fertilizer and such. So his opinion, albeit a little biased I'm sure, is to stick with non-organic milk.
